Multi-mode resistive spectroscopy for precisely controlling morphology of extremely narrow gap palladium nanocluster array

During the deposition of a metallic material on substrate, nanocluster-array structure with an extremely narrow gap is formed transiently at transition between isolated clusters and continuous film. It known that nanocluster array shows unique electrical property different from The changes significantly depending its morphology, precise control time indispensable to obtain desired property. However, detection not straightforward. To overcome this problem, we develop multi-mode resistive spectroscopy. evaluates morphological change during using resonant vibrations piezoelectric enables fabrication arrays slightly morphology. Palladium morphologies are fabricated method, availability spectroscopy demonstrated by evaluating their response hydrogen gas.
